About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live a purposeful life and bless those around me

ABOUT ME
I work as an ESL teacher in Armidale, NSW, teaching English language to a mix of different school students. I have been teaching since finishing uni in 2018. In September 2014, I completed an exchange year in Trier, Germany, and Macerata, Italy, as part of my language studies. So, I am very happy whenever I get a chance to practise German or Italian.
I love different cultures and languages, meeting new people, seeing new things, history, travel, etc. I also really enjoy getting out into the countryside, exploring gorges, waterfalls, forests, etc. So, if you visit or meet up with me in Armidale, I'd love to show you some of my favourite places in this area.
I grew up on a dairy farm in Queensland, Australia, and I really love animals. But, unfortunately, I am allergic cats and horses, which can be a problem when I stay with people who have cats inside.

PHILOSOPHY
Christian. God is everything to me. Christianity gives me a Friend who never leaves me or stops loving me, a Mentor who helps me grow in love for everyone more than I could have ever imagined and a purpose for living in this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have done quite a bit of couchsurfing around Europe, and found it to be loads of fun and a great way to meet the locals and have a more real experience of the countries I visited. I hope I can offer the same to those who stay with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, almost completely wonderful. I'm absolutely blown away by how friendly and generous people are in Europe. And I've met so many awesome people through Couchsurfing that I almost certainly wouldn't have met otherwise. I love it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing snow falling for the first time ever. Might seem stupid to most people, but for me it was magical.

Running historical balls here in Australia.

Riding cows back on the farm.

Raising a baby kangaroo.

Travelling through Europe.

Leaving the beaten path to climb waterfalls and see things that most people don’t even know exist.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Australian bush dancing. :D In the Armidale area, I would love to show you some of the amazing gorges and waterfalls in our national parks. There are lots of adventures to be had!
