CURRENT MISSION
Spreading smiles and generosity!
ABOUT ME
"I'm just an animal, looking for a home and... share the same space for a minute or two."
PHILOSOPHY
Life is meaningless without love and connection. That is why we are all here. Life is also absurd and I love every absurd minute of it! Even the worst experiences hold moments of truth, light, and learning. That recognition gives you the ability to emerge from anything in a better state than you were before. It's damn beautiful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new here, so still figuring it all out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed many couches in my life. And many people have surfed on my couches and floors. But never through this website yet.
Interests
When I am not teaching (I LOVE my job), I am doing yoga, going to concerts and festivals, reading, enjoying the outdoors, and trying to do some good in the world. I'm pretty easy-going but not afraid to speak my mind (I love a good two-sided, mutually enriching conversation) and not afraid to talk about the deeper side of things. I love food... a LOT. But I'm a total pain in the ass because I am a health nut and don't eat a lot of things (due to allergies, health choices, and moral choices). But don't worry, I don't expect anyone to take care of me in this area haha. Overall, I think life is a precious gift and I try to always be grateful for everything I have, cherish every experience, and enjoy life to the max! Traveling is the absolute best thing in the entire world. I can't get enough.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE MUSIC. I love epic lady voices - Erykah, Lauryn, Aaliyah, ELLA, Lykke Li... I also love intelligent electronic music (fuse it with other styles and I'm probably in love), bluegrass, jam, world, and DAVID BYRNE. He is my hero.
Books are also rad! I love Walt Whitman in a big way. Leave of Grass is the best thing ever written. My favorite living author is Paul Auster - his two best are Moon Palace and Brooklyn Follies. M. Duras also tickles my fancy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I harvested, roasted, and rolled green tea leaves with monks at a Buddhist temple high in the mountains in Korea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some French if you're interested. I also love leading yoga for other people. Teaching about healthy eating and natural healing is also something I love to do.
I am always interested to learn about other people's cultures, languages, holidays, and beliefs. I'd love to learn more about religion and philosophy. I'd love some practice on an instrument if you've got one.
