About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Home is where the heart is! Take it with you everywhere!
ABOUT ME
I would like to consider myself openminded, friendly, and always happy to talk to people! Currently studying Environmental Design at the University of British Columbia.
PHILOSOPHY
The world is like a book. If you stay in one place your whole life, you will have only read one page.
I think of life as a book that someone could read one day. What do YOU want to be written in there?
Books are great for analogies, no?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to stay involved and to feel like my existence is creating a positive impact on our gigantic but tiny planet. It can be hard sometimes, and lately I feel a bit at a stalemate with the whole "INVOLVE YOURSELF" thing. But we gotta keep trying, right?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed at friends' couches unofficially but have only just joined the couchsurfing community! I love this approach to travelling by living with local people and getting some inside knowledge. It is something special that can't be learnt from a guidebook or a tour group but through connecting experiences and people!
Interests
I like to be outside, walking, hiking or biking. I also love to dance, draw, do yoga, cook, eat, meet and hang out with cool people and explore my surroundings and go on silly adventures!

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have a huge opinion on what movies I enjoy but one favourite would have to be Bad Boys II ;)
I like most types of music, except for heavy metal and heavy country. Anything that can make people want to move! From rap to classical and everything in between :)
Books: Letters to a young poet, Rilke; Just Kids; Patty Smith
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with wild dolphins in Hawaii!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you how to play the piano, or maybe to cook something. I could teach you a bit of yoga. I could help you beat a level of Candy Crush. Or, I could teach you a few phrases in Cantonese or Mandarin. And perhaps I have a few other skills I just haven't thought of yet :)
I'm teaching myself to play the guitar at home, but I can't say it's going particularly well. A few pointers would be absolutely lovely! I'm also currently learning French, so if anyone doesn't mind having a broken French conversation with me, I need the practice!
Hmm and what can we share? Sharing a meal is possibly one of my favourite activities. Cooking and preparing the meal together and then sitting down to good food and good conversation is the perfect way to get to know people and spend time together.
