About Me

Born in Madrid, but primarily I feel a duty, responsibility, and kinship for the human race as a whole, regardless of location, country, or culture.

Art, in all its various forms, is the single biggest source of my ability to feel connected to the world. As Fitzgerald said, "That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.”

Is hard to describe oneself because we are changing constantly, dynamically adjusting to the world around us, but I consider myself a highly sensitive person. Sometimes this world overwhelms me and I try to express myself through writing because it contributes to my own self-discovery and sense of identity.

I love attending poetry readings, jazz clubs, art galleries and museums, etc. I don't like to categorize people, but maybe the term "Bohemian" could be useful to describe myself in the sense of I'm trying to live an unconventional life (now I'm stuck at university but I won't give up! :)

A deep craving to travel abroad and explore the world has always been an essential part of my personality. Nothing in the whole world seems me more captivating and romantic than abandon everything in order to live through extraordinary adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People have always intrigued me. I wanted to know everyone at school, out of school, the exchange students, anyone that entered my world. It started with books, and then I looked up and saw a living library around me: endless characters to meet and stories to share in. I wondered what I was searching for, until I realised I wasn’t searching at all, I was exploring. Some people explore forests, history, the sky. I like to explore people: how they live, how they’re happy, what they see.

Every time I meet someone new, I learn a little bit more about the world and in turn I learn more about myself. People often say that traveling makes you more open-minded, but I think it’s the people you meet that do that, no matter where you are. The world is full of intricacies, individuals, similarities and differences. The more you meet, the more exceptions you’ll see.

Interests

As I said before, I'm a kind of an esthete always questing for the absolute through art. It doesn't matter the way of expression if you have something to say.

I would like to increase my spiritual awareness too, studying philosophy, practicing yoga and spending time with nature. I think that embarking on the spiritual journey is like getting into a very small boat and setting out on the ocean to search for unknown lands. I've always been attracted to the unknown.
