About Me

ABOUT ME

I have always tried to define myself and, after loads and loads of failing attempts, I've finally decided to leave it go. I don't know neither what I am nor what I'm gonna be. I've understood just few sides of me: I don't like limits, labels and I always try to watch things from different points of view. I'm curious about almost everything and it's really hard to stop me doing something I want to do. I don't have plans for my future, I just want to be happy following my wishes. Now happiness for me is travelling, so I told myself: why not? and here I am, writing on couchsurfing site

Just to know a little bit more about myself: I like people who don't complain about life but try to change what they don't like; I like free souls, creative people, smiles, hugs, sunny days, the sea; I like to sing loudly while walking; I can't say no to food or a good party; I love dancing in a mazurka klandestina all night long (who dances Balfolk, knows..); I love those moments when you haven't got anything to loose and you can feel free; I love to destroy labels and stereotypes; I'm attracted by diversities.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything depends on the point of view. If you change your point of view, you can change the world around you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience has been wonderful, better than my expectations. With a friend of mine we decided to go for a trip through Balkans and we have been hosted in Trieste, Lubiana, Zagreb, Sarajevo and Belgrade. Then I've been hosted in Torino, Barcelona and Naples and I've recently started to host in my new house in Bologna.
Probably I will never come back to the tourist way of travelling: to be hosted by local people makes you understand thinghs that you would never realize in an anonymous room of a hostel. What does enrich you more than an experience shared with someone?

Interests

-Travelling. If I stay for too long in a place, I need to leave and take a breath of new and fresh air. Travelling for me is not just about visiting new places but above all about meeting new people.
-Photography. I like taking pictures of people and unnoticed details.
-Dancing. Can't stop my feet when I hear some music. I mainly dance folk music from all over Europe (Balfolk), and you will probably hear me talking a lot about this dances, I will try to take you there and then.. make you become addicted as I am. :) I also dance salsa, bachata and I love forro. About dancing, I like the feeling of being connected with your body and the deep emotions that brings.

I'm also interest in everything related to communication and languages, geography, education, music, books theatre and art in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Mainly Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Queen, The Smiths. About italian music mainly Verdena, Afterhours, Marlene Kuntz, Iosonouncane, Northpole, Fabrizio De André, Battisti and more.
Always keen on discovering new music.

Books:
Italo Calvino is now my favourite. His 'Invisible cities' has caught me.
And Gabriel García Marquez for that magic world that he is able to build inside his books.
