I grew up in northern Sweden and therefore endured a lot of cold, dark snowy winters, always dreaming about white powdery beaches with tourquoise waters. My family encouraged me a lot to go travelling and I can honestly say it's the best decision I ever made. I'm currently travelling with my boyfriend in our little van, that's been our home for the last 18 months. It's not an easy life, but it's a great one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm an introvert and decided I didn't want to be one anymore! So now I put a lot of energy in trying to meet other people from all over the world, and couchsurfing is a great way to start. I love to meet people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds than me. It's a great way to get a genuin insight in a country, nothing beats local knowledge!

Interests

Travel of course, everything creative, be it photography, painting or baking, I like them all, beeing sumerged in nature either by bushwalking, hiking or diving, I'm game. But the biggest interest is adventure, I think I might be a bit of an adrenalinejunkie. Skydiving, cave exploring, scubadiving, mountainclimbing, skiing, horsebackriding, whitewaterrafting, I get a tingling sensation just thinking about it. It may be a miracle I'm still alive, haha!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a bookfanatic and read almost everything I can get my hands on. Which is kind of a problem at the moment, 'cause a lot of the tiny spareroom in the van is starting to fill up with books. So while I have my mini library under the bed, I also enjoy watching movies. I think I'm now to old for horror movies because I always get nightmares afterwards, but I like adventuremovies, comedies and action, and if I'm in the mood a good thriller.
My boyfriend and I are always fighting whose turn it is to listen to music, 'cause we have so different musicstyles. I like a bit of indiepop, alternative rock, pop and actually classical music. It helps me focus in some wierd way (not that I admit it to anyone).

Watch the sunrise from a deserted beach in the jungle
Swam underneath a three meter wide stingray
Celebrated NYE in Sydney
Skydived above a group of dolphins with calves
Being kissed by an alpacca
Survived bungyjumping in New Zealand
Lived abroad
Seen the northen lights while lying on a frozen lake
Barebackriding with the midnight sun as guidence

I can't just pick one, it's impossible! All the experiences made me feel alive in some way and see that the world isn't just filled with bad stuff.

Teach, Learn, Share

I may not yet be so wise that I actually can teach someone something, but I love to hear about other peoples travels, stories, both good and bad, and I can always tell them some of my experiences along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

There's always something you can give back, and I'm a strong believer in karma. I may not know it all but I'm positive I can give back somehow, either by cooking wierd swedish food, helping out with the washing up, or entertain with some of my stories. Oh, and I can breath fire too. But I cannot guarantee you get to keep your house after that...
