About Me
For me the best way to live is being active, changing places, discovering wonderful landscapes and other cultures…and taking my time to enjoy every moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is so interesting to meet people from all over the world and while traveling it is much more fun to meet up with locals.
Interests
Long distance hiking (in August I did 700 km;)
Mountain hiking, cycling, skiing, dancing
Reading books, cultural events and TRAVELING
Music, Movies, and Books
I love music, almost any kind. Cannot live without!
I like movies that are not scary or brutal.
I have read quite a bunch of books. My favorites are: "Look homeward angel" by Thomas Woolf (USA), „The brothers Karamazov“ by Dostojevski, poems by Arthur Rimbaud (France) and authors like Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Columbia), Shakespeare, Jane Austin (UK), Balzac, Simone de Beauvoir (France).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking down the Grand Canyon and spending one night there hearing the rushing of the Colorado River and seeing the amazing starry sky.
Driving through the astonishing Outback on the Stuart Highway from Alice Springs to Adelaide and spending two nights near by Uluru in a Swag around a campfire.
Having the chance to attend some traditional Māori festivals like the Tuurangawaewae Regatta in Ngaruawahia, home of the Māori King, and being honored by an invitation to visit the beautiful Marae.
Teach, Learn, Share
I never stop learning something new. Life is a great teacher. At the moment I am learning Spanish.
