About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Don´t be passive, don´t get old!

ABOUT ME

I am a language teacher in Buchholz near Hamburg. I live with my daughter. We like travelling, hiking, riding on our bikes, history and arts. I think I am open minded and friendly. I try to be helpful where I can. I like to organise school exchanges and contacts with people in France.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy your life, but don´t forget other people´s interests and needs. Commit yourself to something social or ecological!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to be a host (if the room is available) and hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted and I host if I can. It is not always possible.

Interests

I am interested to talk to people who stay in my house and where I can be. I am also grateful for help and informations (if possible, but not necessarily).
I don´t need to make party in the evening, but would enjoy a glass of wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like French films, but also thriller. I like reading detective novels. I like going to the theater or musicals (if not too expensive!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In a team, I create modern church services with interviews and including the community. The results are always amazing.
In former times I created a theater play about the Apartheid regime in South Africa, including an exibition and a buffet.
I installed the playground for our old school when there were reforms and little pupils coming.
The exchange with France with is a wonderful experience for me and the pupils.
I loved my journey to Bali, Java and Sulawesi where I took part in many ceremonies.
I had very interesting experiences in Nigeria.
I like thinking of the time when I rented my room to very different people.
I always like to motivate my pupils to do something for others (old people, poor children) and to see their pride when they are successful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Depends on my time. I don´t go out to Hamburg with them.
