About Me

Hey! My name in Angeliki. My friends call me Angelina or Angie, though. I like to traveling, dancing, volunteering, making new friends and having long conversations both with my old good friends and with the new ones, singing, listening to music, reading books, learning new things, cooking, laughing and remembering with nostalgia of the nice moments of my past.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would really love to travel all over the world, practice my language skills, know about the civilisation, the culture and the lifestyle of people from many different countries and I think Couchsurfing can give me a great opportunity for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is not really a unique music genre which I love to listen to. I like listening to many music genres such as Greek rembetiko, rock music, rock'n'roll, jazz, original Cuban music, classical and minimal music, soundtracks from movies, Greek folk music and generally folk music, etc. Each time I choose to listen to the songs that fit my mood at the moment.
Some movies which I am very keen on are "Inception", "La vita e bella", "Les intouchables", "Hacksaw Ridge", "American History X", "Interstellar", "Se7en", "The Life of Pi", "Le prenom", "Requiem for a dream", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Κόκκινα Φανάρια" (Red lights) and the list goes on and on...
My favorite books are mainly Greek ones such as "Τα ματωμένα χώματα" (Bloody Earth) (a book based on the tragic events and the background stories of the Greco-Turkish War (1912-1922), "Ένα παιδί μετράει τ' άστρα" (One child counts the stars), but I also love the George Orwell's book "1984".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone snorkeling and swimming very very close to sharks!
