About Me
Hi there :)
My name is Angelina (hard 'g', like in garden).
I was born and grew up in a small town near the southern border of Bulgaria.
When I was 19 I moved to the UK and spent 4 years living on the south coast (Portsmouth, Brighton) before I finally moved up to London last year.
I am really enjoying London right now and feel like it is the right place for me to be in but am trying to fill my free time with as much travel as I can. I have greatly enjoyed solo-traveling in the past and plan to do a lot of it during my weekends and days off in 2017.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I visit new places, I prefer to avoid falling into the "touristy trap" and experience the real vibe of the place instead. That's why meeting local people is quite essential. They are able to show me true hidden gems and tell me more about what it is like to live in the city I am visiting.
I have had amazing experiences being a couchsurfer and found it astonishing how easily and naturally you can click with people you have never met before.
I want to start hosting as well soon (now that I am finally settled down). I just need to find an air-bed or mattress to add in my room (the couch in the lounge is too small).
Interests
In my free time you can normally find me with my reading glasses on my nose and a fantasy book in hand. I go through interesting books at an alarming rate (admittedly, I sometimes pick up really cheesy titles). Also they are a great way to avoid awkward eye-contact with strangers on the London tube.
My academic background is in Animation, so when the inspiration hits me I also draw (digitally or traditionally).

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book of all times is "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" + its following two sequels by Laini Tylor
Another favorite series is "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J Maas

And Harry Potter, of course. I have read each of the books about 8-12 times (yes, I have completely lost count, I just re-read them each year).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Zambia for three months (Feb-April 2016). I stayed in a host family there and worked as a volunteer :)
