I am a kind, sweet, creative workaholic. I'm always doing something and keeping busy. I really love living in LA. This city has so many things to offer and so many different things to experience. You just have to go out and look for it.

Hit the ground running.

My life is super busy, so sometimes I feel like I do get a chance to rest, but when even I'm in a social situation and it feels like it's going to take me a while to get warmed up, I just have to dive in and hope for the best.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had a Couch Surfer crash on my couch after a night of hanging out with a bunch of CSers who were visiting Los Angeles. I plan on using CS more when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't traveled using CS yet, but I've already had a CSer stay at my place. It was a great experience.

Interests

I work in advertising, so I love all things creative. I try to get out to as many Art Walks, galleries, and museums as I can. I've been swimming since I was in my mother's womb. I was a competitive swimmer growing up and I am a pool lifeguard during the summers. I am a grom (novice) long board surfer. I also love the theater and musicals.

I'm also very active in my community. I'm am currently the VP of PR in my Toastmasters Club. I am a committee member of the MAT (Multicultural Adverting Training) Program's Board of Directors. I am a member of my company's softball team and dodgeball team. I'm Catholic with a progressive view in politics. And when I'm not too busy, I freelance as a graphic and web designer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste in music, but I love rock music. I also enjoy listening to electronic swing and indie music.

I enjoy reading fiction, romance, art and sociology books like Kip Fulbeck's "Part Asian, 100% Hapa" and Alon Ziv's "Breeding Between the Lines." Currently I am trying to read through multiple books - "Eat, Pray, Love," a bunch of Anne Rice novels including her romance series, and Edgar Rice Burroughs' books.

I love adventure movies. I'm not a big "chick flicks" type of girl. I do love musicals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I experience my "quarter-of-a-life-century-crisis." I made some major changes in my life and that included buying my first car - my dream car - a convertible. I drove it by myself to the Kern River Mountains to go river rafting with friends. On the way back down the mountain, I put the top down and just soaked in the beauty that is California. I can't remember a time before then where I experienced so much joy and freedom life.

MY CEO said that the secret to life is shake up your routine and have something to look forward to every week, that way you're stuck in an endless routine of going to work and then going home. For the past year, I have been trying to do something new and exciting every week. All though this experiment has waned in the past few months, I have experienced some really awesome events and places here in So. Cal - post-apocolopitic Christmas party; bloody musicals, hiking in various places, burlesque shows, etc.
