Ich bin 25 Jahre alt und zurzeit noch im Studium (Umweltingenieurwesen an der ZHAW). Redselig, aufgeschlossen und zuvorkommend sind Wörter mit denen ich mich selber beschreiben würde. Das Reisen eine beliebte Beschäftigung ist, muss nicht mehr erklärt werden.

I’m 25 years old and living in Switzerland. Due to my studies (environmental engineering) I live at to different places. During the week I live in Wädenswi and during the weekends I live in Widnau. Widnau is a pretty small village in the very east of Switzerland. You can reach my hometown by a 30 minutes trine ride from St.Gallen.
Im really open minded and like to talk a lot. I appreciate a good bonfire and someone playing the guitar pretty much. I guess that’s my favorite way to go out. Most of the time I’m vegetarian. Sometimes I allow myself a good peace of meet. Since I can’t be fine with the way meet is “produced” and how the animals are treated I eat meat really rarely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Warum ich Couchsurfing bevorzuge: Ein nicht zu verleugnender Grund ist bestimmt das Geld. Viel wichtiger Finde ich aber der Kontakt mit Leuten vor Ort mit welchen man den Ort auf eine ganz andere Art entdecken kann als mit einem Sightseeing-Bus. Persönliche Eindrücke und Gespräche mit Einheimischen sind mir wichtiger als Fotos von dem Erkennungszeichen der Stadt auf Facebook. Das gesparte Geld für die Unterkunft gebe ich dann gerne aus für Spezialitäten aus der Schweiz, natürlich als Mitbringsel für den Gastgeber oder für das Füllen des Kühlschranks des Gastgebers.

In this time I guess nearly everybody likes to travel. So the reason for travelling is not needed to say. But why I prefer couchsurfing instead of a hostel or hotel is the contact to the locals. I’m pretty sure with couchsurfing host you can find the really interesting spots of a city or village a tourist would never find. And the money I save cause of the accommodation I love to spend in Swiss chocolate or chees as presents for the hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is a child’s book named “Momo”. Its original language is German but it’s available in English. It’s written as a child book but it’s for everyone. It’s about a little girl who know how to listen to people and shows the adults how to use their time. Its al about the time.
