About Me

I'm currently in my third year of college studying abroad in Seville, Spain. My majors are Global Studies and Spanish. I love traveling, dancing, and learning new languages. I'm half-Filipino, although many people think that I'm Latina (and I do speak Spanish). I think of myself as an inquisitive person, and I value kindness very much. In fact, my favorite quote from the Dalai Lama is, "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

I'm discovering new things about myself every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm also living with a host family so couch surfing is a somewhat similar concept. I love getting to know new people and hearing their stories. Plus, there's just something about entering another's person home that is intimate and very revealing of the person.

Apart from looking for places to stay, I'm interested in getting to know the locals. What are the best places to eat? What are your favorite memories of this place?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: all types except American country. The music I listen to depends on the day so here are a few artists I really like (from all borders): Jay Park, Pablo Alborán, Miss Caffeina, Joakim Karud, DEAN, BØRNS, Leehom Wang, Rawayana, Zayn, João Gilberto, Walk the Moon, Michael Jackson, Maluma, and much, much more.

Movies: Titanic, Arrival, Coco (qué mona esa película), El Laberinto del Fauno, Mulan, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle (I realized I like a lot of animated movies).

Books: MY ALL TIME FAVE BOOK IS The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo. This book has changed my life, and I will always make sure to have a copy of it. I also love Milk and Honey as well as The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur. Also, I enjoyed the Harry Potter series as a teenager very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went puenting last semester. For those who don't know what puenting is, it's basically bridge jumping. Essentially, I jumped off a bridge, tied to it through a bungee cord. It was wild, and I'll probably never do it again, but I'm glad for the experience.

I'm also planning to go to Egypt in March!

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I'm very young, I wouldn't say I have much to teach, but I do love dancing enough that I can teach the basics. I'm an open person, and I would have a conversation about anything with anyone. School is one of my favorite places to be (believe it or not) because I have a passion for learning more about the world - which is why I'm abroad in the first place! I'd love to share my memories and talk about life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, dancing (would be willing to teach), kindness, a good helping hand
