About Me
Getting started on Couchsurfing!
I am a French engineering student studying in the region of Paris. I am currently in Germany, Düsseldorf for a 6-month internship in the field of energy.
I grew up on the French Reunion island: in the Indian Ocean, just between Mauritius and Madagascar. We have a strong regional culture of which I am proud! I would be glad to share it with you! I have lived 20 years there before moving to Paris for my studies.
I love traveling and I aim to discover as many cities as possible in Germany and Europe.
I am also very concerned about the environment, and it is a personal challenge to try to reduce my impact as much as possible. I try to learn a lot about all the little actions that the individuals can do in their daily life, and I also want my career to be consistent with my concerns.

Music, Movies, and Books
I would love to make you discover the music from my island: a mix of African and Caribbean vibes!
We also have a traditional type of music, inherited from the slavery period.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 6-week charity work in Peru in 2017
During Summer 2017, I spent 6 weeks in a French NGO that work on reforestation in Latin America. In Peru, the NGO particularly works in collaboration with coffee producers in the small town of Pichanaki close to the Amazonian forest. I was in Peru and participated in the NGO activities: working in coffee fields, taking part to a masterclass on how to grow coffee without contributing to deforestation, organizing raising awareness activities in schools.
It was the best experience I ever had, as I was totally out of my comfort zone! I had to learn Spanish for this trip, and I didn't know anything about coffee before that. I learned a lot, and I met amazing people there, who were always keen on welcoming me and my friends and wanting to know more about France. I had the occasion to live directly at people's place and discover their traditions and their culture.
We ended it with a road trip around Peru and Bolivia that made me fall in love with these countries' landscapes!
