About Me

CURRENT MISSION

meeting new people in NYC

ABOUT ME

I'm a recent college graduate that loves learning about new cultures, innovative ideas, artsy things and exploring the world. I tend to be more introverted (not really shy just a little quiet) and like listening to what other people have to say before answering even though I can be pretty sarcastic with a dark sense of humor. I like people that don't take themselves to seriously and can joke about anything even if it shouldn't be funny.

Originally I'm from California but I can't surf and I'm definitely not blonde or an airhead.

PHILOSOPHY

Lately I've been trying to live by this quotation and expand my comfort zone.

"Buy the ticket, take the ride." -- Hunter S. Thompson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I don't have a couch available but would like to meet new people and make friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed twice when I was studying abroad in Europe, which was really fun! This site helped me a lot meeting new people since I went to Spain basically on my own.

Interests

movies, wandering around, walking, exploring new cities, history, museums, art, music, guitar, learning about different cultures, books, cooking, eating, videos, internet, youtube, dance, anything I haven't tried before.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: way too many to say but to name a few. Anything by Camus or Vonnegut. I'm pretty geeky for science fiction and fantasy (The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Anne Rice novels) Anything historical especially Russian history

Movies: the Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine, the Truman Show, the Avengers, Underworld, Camille, The Painted Veil, Ghost World, anything comedy or adventure-y and I spend way too much time watching movies in general

Music: State Radio, against me! The Black Keys, Incubus, Flogging Molly, Florence and the Machine, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Billie Holiday, Johnny Cash, pretty eclectic taste actually but Im a sucker for a soulful singer and some acoustic guitar

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To name a few.... driving from Los Angeles to NYC with my mom, seeing the modern art museum in Buenos Aires, eating chocolate waffles in Brussels, getting lost in Amsterdam, staying up all night in Barcelona, spending christmas in Prague, and definitely seeing London at the top of the Eye.
