About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Right now, I have a goal to visit a different country every year. So far I've met this goal for 3 years.

ABOUT ME

I am often shy at first but very outgoing and social after the initial moment of awkwardness. My family is very important to me, as are my friends who I consider to be part of my family. I spend much of my free time with my boyfriend of 2 years and my dog.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that travel is good for the soul and provides opportunities for personal transformations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a nubie to couch surfing and am hoping to have many wonderful experiences all over the world.

Interests

I really love to cook and bake; trying new and challenging recipes is always fun. I also love all things technology and learn them quickly. I love trying to fix things and doing hands on activities. I like to think that I have my MacGyver moments. As I work for a large, high end retail company, I enjoy exploring the world of fashion and especially love seeing fashion around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is part of my everyday and is very important to me. I listen to many different genres, but my favorites are Rap and R&B.

My taste in movies is random at best, the only thing I don't watch is anything horror related. In general, I am a big fan of documentaries and Netflix series.

As for books I love them when I read, but I just don't get around to reading that often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spring of 2016 I went to Cuba for 2 weeks (historically tricky for U.S. Citizens). I loved soaking in the culture and meeting locals as well as other travelers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Practical things that I can teach someone how to do: Bake, cook, needle point, sew, use new technology, and clean something really well.

Things I would like to learn: Anything you can teach me, I love learning new things!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Scotland, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
