About Me
After living in Seattle for 3 years I started feeling that I didn't want to spend all my youth in an office working from 9-5 and that life had much more to offer than working for someone else for a bunch of money and 3 weeks of vacation. So I created an online business on the side and in November 2012 I quit my job at Microsoft to travel around the world.
Since 2013 I've spent most of my time backpacking through Asia, South America and Europe, and now that I'm back to Spain I've decided to move to Barcelona for a few months beause it's a city I've always wanted to live in.
I am a very open minded person who always tries to have a smile on his face (my last name is ALEGRE, which means HAPPY in Spanish - true story!). I love keeping a good conversation with anyone, either in English, Spanish or whatever language. And most important... I love spending all my money and time TRAVELING, the best thing in the world!!
I'm also passionate about SPORTS, and usually go out running or join my friends for a soccer game. My secret passion is CHOCOLATE (the darkest the better, of course!) and I also love reading on my Kindle.
I don't need anything special to be happy... I value being around good company and living amazing experiences much more than owning expensive things.
I believe that our life is made of experiences, and that's why I love so much traveling and meeting new people... both are always a source of new and great experiences.
Anyway, just ask me or read my blog (viviralmaximo.net) and you'll find out! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted some amazing people while I was living in Seattle, and surfed many couches when traveling the world. Never had a problem, made new friends, enjoyed great stories and had a blast with everyone I stayed with.
Now that I have my own apartment in Barcelona I'm back to hosting :)
I also use CS to meet new people when living or travelling abroad.
