About Me
Always open to new experiences, never says no to challenges, and wants to try everything at least once! 👑
Slowly getting the hang of traveling solo! ✌
I had never traveled anywhere by myself, so in 2016 I went backpacking across the Visayan islands for a week. It was so liberating and fun and a few months later, I finally went to Taiwan on my first solo overseas trip!
Earlier this year, I've gotten into triathlon and have been training regularly since! When I'm not working or traveling, I'm in the pool/gym/road logging in miles and miles of swimming, biking, and running!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I have an eclectic choice in music. I listen to anyone from Depeche Mode to Roxette to Lana Del Rey to Girls Generation to Elton John to Harry Styles!
Books - I'm a Potterholic and love myself good high fantasy, but I'm also into long-form nonfiction like essays and memoirs: David Foster Wallace, David Sedaris, and Joan Didion. RN I'm working my way through Rober Jordan's voluminous Wheel of Time series!
Movies - Lots of Guillermo Del Toro, Richard Linklater, and Wong Kar-wai movies. I also like both the weird and cheesy. All-time favorites include Before Sunset, the LOTR series, Pan's Labyrinth, Blue Valentine, Days of Being Wild.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"Life is a collection of moments. The idea is to have as many good ones as possible." - Olivia Thirlby in "5 to 7" (2014)
Waiting for sunrise in one of Bagan's temples, and being rewarded by a spectacular view of the sky dotted with so many hot air balloons, and the entire horizon filled with so many golden stupas.
Swimming a 5-km open water course in rough, jellyfish-infested waters! Managed to swim finish it depsite having a slight fever and a shoulder injury, too! I got blisters and rashes afterwards, but small price to pay for such a personal milestone!
Riding on a motorcycle with an inebriated couchsurfing host! He picked me up from the mall and we drove out of the city to his place. He was so nice and warm, but he was also very drunk, so I was clinging on to him for dear life while we exchanged pleasantries along the way! :)
