About Me
Hi Good People!
Salam.
Have you ever heard about a beautiful country named Indonesia ? Yeah, I'm from that country, which more specifically is living in a very crowded city, Jakarta.
I graduated from International Relations major and that makes me really passionate to learn more about other countries, including the culture, politics, history, traditions, and most importantly human behaviour in each country around the world.
Nowadays, I am working as Public Relations Consultant in a private company in Jakarta and I'm also an educator for English and History subjects. Besides my routine activities I've mentioned earlier, I'm also an enthusiast of human development programs. I've been involving myself into social activities since 2013 and one of the most memorable ones is when I went to New Delhi India and had a chance to teach groups of students there about English Comprehension and a glimpse of my culture. I've been doing this voluntary programs without getting paid because I love to empower the people around the globe especially to the places that need to be cultivated and empowered. I think, what we all need just to be more attentive to our surrounding, in order to make the world to a better place, right ? Just remember that we are just human being after all.
Well at least, that's a romantic version of my idealistic thought.
If you'd like to know about myself that I'm an open-minded person too, although I live in developing country where conservatives ideology is still common in here. I am also a good learner and listener, so I would be genuinely happy to hear and learn your stories, experiences and thoughts literally about anything. So don't hesitate to contact me or greet me wherever you are!
Salam.
Best Regards,
Angga.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to have so many friends around the world as much as possible.
When I am visiting other countries, I would really love to meet the locals for sharing ideas and having a deep conversation about their culture. Not forget to mention, the locals are the best one for you to experience those countries' most delicious dishes. Hence, I decided to join CS because I know where to find the locals and have a short introduction before we meet them in real life. However, it doesn't mean that I don't like meeting other foreigners while I'm travelling, because maybe I can also learn something positive from them tho. Right ?
Thus, vice versa! If you are planning to visit Jakarta, I would be totally honoured to welcome you (as long as that fits to my agenda for sure) and I'll try my best to give you the experience as I expected when I visit other countries as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Many people around the world said that Indonesia is famous due to the genuine attitude and warmest hospitality from its people. Therefore, I'll give the best effort to present myself as an Indonesian with the characters as mentioned above, I can be your friend to discuss anything or even just to chill together, I'd love to introduce you the local dish or snacks of Indonesia if that's possible.
When you are traveling to my hometown Jakarta, I'll try my best to treat you as part of my family.
I personally believe, what's more important than being accepted and appreciated when you're going abroad ?
That's the least thing I can do, and so I hope to experience wherever I am.
