About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Myself and my boyfriend have decided to leave Vancouver after 2.5 years and slowly make our way "down south" and reach Patagonia by December 2020 in order to attend the Solar Eclipse festival.
ABOUT ME
As outlined above, myself and my partner have a long trip ahead of us. We have been going out for 7 years, are both in our 30's- Mike is Irish and I am German. We met traveling and have since intermittently stopped to live and work in different countries, Canada being the latest place we had settled for a while. I have not been couch surfing in a while but the experiences I've had were always amazing, so I hope to find some hosts for our upcoming journey. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have not been living in a place where it was possible to actually host someone as I've always been sharing my flats with roommates. Once we settle down and have the space I want to start doing so.
All the hosts I met were so welcoming and amazing. I love the spirit of inviting people into your home/community and of course it's always great to get actual tips and knowledge from a local
Interests
It's pretty hard to describe yourself in some sentences- but I'll give it a try:
Things I (we) like: obviously travelling and enjoying life in general, meeting and getting to know people and their culture, hanging out with friends, music, concerts, festivals, reading, (street-)art, snowboarding, swimming. Might sound a bit like an average description- but that's a short overview :)
- arts
- books
- concerts
- festivals
- yoga
- traveling
- music
- snowboarding
- swimming
- food
- languages and cultures
Music, Movies, and Books
Just another quick overview
Books: John Irving, Murakami, T.C Boyle... but I just love to read all different kinds of stuff
Movies: I try to not spend too much time watching TV
Music: depending on the mood- mainly electronica, acoustic/guitar stuff but always happy to listen to new music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd say let's talk about this kind of subjects once we meet up :)
Teach, Learn, Share
One of my main goals over the next few months is improving my very basic spanish language skills and hopefully manage to become fluent
What I Can Share with Hosts
We would likely not be sticking around the house too much as we'll be out exploring but we'd be happy to help out with anything (pet sitting, gardening, language exchange...) Mike is an amazing cook so cooking for our hosts is always and option :)
