About Me

Hi! My name is Angie. I'm a dreamer, a free spirit, and an intellectual at heart. I have a wild imagination. I am fiercely loyal. I ask the hard questions. I wrestle with the hard answers. But I try not to take myself too seriously.

I love coffee. I love adventures. I love exploring unknown territory. And I love shoes.

Transitioning out of a tough time in my life, but there's nothing like meeting new people and hearing their stories to rekindle your fire. Visiting NY for a couple days and looking for a place to stay (and some good company!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to meet people both like and unlike me to learn from and be inspired by, people with a passion to live fully and embrace adventure!

Interests

Fashion, music, philosophy, food, travel (duh)

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately been listening to John Mayer, Misterwives, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Kacey Musgraves, Florence + the Machine (so psyched for her new album!), but I'll listen to anything, from Fleetwood Mac to Chance the Rapper.

Books:
- Most recently finished: China Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
- Long time favorite: The Stranger by Albert Camus
- Currently reading: the Harry Potter series (for the first time... pls don't hate me)
- Recently recommended to me: Practical Ethics by Peter Singer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent two days trekking Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunnan, China (and I am not a hiker/backpacker by ANY means-- the most physically demanding but rewarding thing I have ever done)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I consider myself much more a student of life than a teacher because I am fascinated by this world and the people around me, but I will happily share my story with you if you share with me yours. I believe in the power of authenticity and stories to bring people together and foster empathy and compassion towards others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I take time to open up to new people, but I promise that once I do, I can be lots of fun and a great conversation partner. I hate small talk, so if you're looking for an honest, authentic conversation, you've found the right person!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, England, Hong Kong, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
