Hi, I'm a mature Australian lady who just loves to make genuine connections with people all over the world. I have 2 adult children, who are very well travelled but now it's my turn to explore the world solo. I am always up to hang out or to go on adventures. I'd be honoured to spend some time visiting people's homes and lives, and am always keen to share stories, cook a meal together and to find new friends.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

2024 is my Gap Year and I am taking the opportunity to explore the places I am yet to visit in Asia. Rather than always staying in rowdy hostels and impersonal hotels, I love the idea of Couchsurfing and really getting to see what life is like in the places I will be visiting.

Música, películas y libros

I love most music and am always keen to check out the local music scene wherever I am. I'm a big fan of dystopian fiction (weird, I know) but love to pick up a book that someone else has loved and recommends. I am currently researching for a historical novel that I am writing.

I spent an amazing 10 days in North Korea in 2018. A little peek into a most mysterious, shrouded country. I attended the Mass Games, where I sat not 150 metres from Kim Jung Un (the security beforehand was something else!) The people I did meet there were incredibly friendly and happy, although I am very much aware of the human rights issues that I believe occur there. Much of the trip was almost like a play with characters acting their parts but there were a few opportunities where we did get to see beyond the facade and I was amazed at the absolute genuine love, not fear, that they have for their 'Dear Leader',
