About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living life, fill it with tons of friends, and little regrets!

ABOUT ME

Born in GuangZhou, China, raised in Vancouver BC, Canada. I am a current UBC student and working at the busiest hospital in BC, VGH. I'm very energetic, open minded and sarcastic (but only in a way that would make people laugh ha...ha). I'm very encouraging by people in my city, I love the vibe and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but when it comes to travel, the first date I'm free, I'm outta here! Actually me and my boyfriend, both, that's why I think we're so good for eachother. We are currently living downtown, convenient but noisy. It's right next to the gay community (best Pride Parade btw) and fairly close to English Bay. We are very honest people (it's because we don't know how to lie) and very straight forward but we wouldn't judge. We love and welcome everyone from all walks of life.

PHILOSOPHY

I live though my heart, to be honest and appreciate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I (or we, if my boyfriend has time to tag along) would like to travel, a lot, and explore the world. I love seeing different cultures, places, and everything new. Hoping to find places and people who would be excited enough to host as we are to travel.

Interests

I love reading in cozy coffee shops and trying different restaurant. I guess Vancouverites are what people would like to call it "foodies". My favorite in Vancouver is Bella Gelateria (if you're ever in Vancouver, you definitely have to check it out). I also love outdoor activities, such as hiking, rock climbing, going to the beach, snowboarding in the winter, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

music: I like classical music and mellow tone music, ones that are very happy and sweet. I think it's maybe because I've been studying ... for a Really long time (say over 4 year? lost count)
movies: I like action and comedy. The last movie I watched was "300", the second one and I love it.
Books: I love books that drives my emotions, like "To Kill a Mocking bird", "A Thousand Splended Suns", "The Master and Margarita" and the one I'm reading at the moment, "The Counts of Monte Cristo".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing I've done that shaped me into the person I am today would have to be the time I went to Mexico to build houses for families that are less fortunate. It was amazing seeing how little they have but what's more is that they appreciated every little thing we did for them. I spent a lot of times with the kids while I was there. Even though there was a language barrier, I can see that they were so happy from the simple things in life that most people take for granted, even if it was just playing soccer with them and so on. It was that experience that helped me see how much I have as a person living in Canada, in such a place that most people from other countries would already call it luxury.

Teach, Learn, Share

I continue to learn. That's the beauty of it.
