ABOUT ME

We are a fun loving, friendly couple that love to go out and meet new people and continually go on different adventures in our lives. We are very easy going and love experiencing new cultures.
Javi loves his sports (especially soccer - he would watch it every day if he could!). He is very creative and great with design.
Angie loves meeting new and different people and creating friendship circles with many fantastic and interesting people.
We both love hosting dinner parties and getting together with friends.

Do unto others as you would like done to yourself.
Enjoy everyday as if it were your last as one day it will be
There are so many life adventures to experience one doesn't have a second to loose.
Anything is possible if you truly want it!
If you aren't petrified of your goals then you aren't aiming high enough!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We keep in contact with the people we have met through CouchSurfing. We have made many fantastic friends through this amazing lifestyle and have had the most amazing adventures with them.
We attend Brisbane City's CouchSurfing meetings as often as we can to meet new travellers in our city and give them advice and help on travel in the area.
We meet and give advice to travellers arriving in Brisbane so they can get the most out of their stays here.
At the moment we are sharing a small house with two others and are unable to host due to our housemates not wanting to participate in the project. We are aiming to get out own apartment soon where we can continually host and meet many more friends from around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Angie has Couch Surfed in New Zealand in Auckland and Christchurch with my best mate Amanda. The whole experience was so amazing!
We have both met so many amazing people and continued to form great friends with many through the meet ups we have attended both in our city and places we have travelled to.

Interests

We both love trying new activities and attending new festivals and celebrations.
We both love music and dancing and have been to many fantastic parties dancing salsa into the early hours of the morning.
Our passion is to travel and experience so many amazing things that our world has to offer.
We love the outdoors - hiking, camping, sports
Most of all we both just like to enjoy the company of good people and have as much fun as we can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
We both love the book The Alchemist. Inspiring tales of people lives are amazing. We are always flipping through travel books and planning our next adventures
Movies
Angie loves most movies except for scary ones (which Javier actually loves so he needs another cinema buddy when he goes to see these!)
Music
We have a fantastic massively diverse range of music continually playing on our laptops. With Javier being from South America and his native language being Spanish we both enjoy spanish speaking music. We love different types of music from around the world, chillout music, dance music, jazz, we have very diverse music tastes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Malaysia - Our first international holiday together was filled with so much adventure and wonderful memories. We went on extensive walking tours around the city, taking in all the history from the books we had read. We finished our nights lying at the base of the Petronas Tours staring up at this breathtaking building.

Thailand - we spent three amazing days in Phuket where we travelled to the most amazing little islands- was absolute paradise. We then spent one night in Bangkok where we ventured out of the city and went to a tiger temple where we got to pat and cuddle these absolutely massive tigers - was an amazing experience!

Colombia - We travelled to Colombia to visit Javier's family. This experience was absolutely amazing for us. From the Caribbean Island of San Andres, to the walled protected ancient city of Cartegena, the amazing family home stay we had in the little fishing village of Tanganga and attending native cumbia dancing ceremonies. We travelled to many of our friends (whom we had met and shared many great times with in Australia) home towns and visited many amazing places with them as they proudly showed us around their cities and introduced us to their lovely families. Colombia holds a special place in both of our hearts!

We can help with English or Spanish, for those that are learning or need translation help.

For travellers that are on their own and lonely we would love to meet you, invite you to some group activities, and see you have the most amazing travel experience in Brisbane. For travellers that are wanting to
come to some events with a great mix of people contact us and you are most welcome to come out with us on the weekends, to dinner, or any other of the various social events we attend.
