About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as possible!
ABOUT ME
I am very easy going, open minded, friendly and caring person with a great sense of humor. I enjoy laughing so I look for fun where I can. I'm very trustworthy and honest. I'm not high maintenance (I go with the flow and don't ask for much). I like all kinds of music and enjoy discovering new music. I really enjoy meeting new people. I am back in the States now after having traveled for the past 5 months in NZ, Australia, Bali (for a very short time) and Fiji.
A little about my back story: I was a single mom at the age of 18. My goal was always to travel when my son was grown up. I recently divorced from the man I married when my son was 10 and my son is now out on his own. I have decided that life is too short to waste, and am doing some world travel! I'm really excited about discovering more of this beautiful world and meeting lots of new and interesting people.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to waste doing things you don't enjoy. Make the most of the time you've got. If you don't like something about your life, change it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Very new to this. When I get home I will definitely make my couch available!!! I love meeting new people!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only couchsurfed once, and it was a wonderful experience. I love that you can meet people on here to hang out with, ask questions, get advice, etc.
Interests
The things that make me feel the most alive are hiking, kayaking, and camping. In my downtime I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, reading my book, and watching movies. I love going to see live music when I can. And I really love the experience of meeting people from all over!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Three things that never fail to amaze me are beautiful sunsets, clear nights when I can see every single star, and the feeling I get when I've completed a strenuous hike or when I've been out kayaking. To date, probably the most amazing thing I've done is camped around Australia. What an experience!!! But it certainly isn't the only amazing thing I've done and it certainly won't be the last!
Teach, Learn, Share
Being a single mom at the age of 18 taught me a lot about myself. I learned that you have to work for what you want, and sometimes you have to work really hard. But if you want or need something, it's worth the effort. Don't give up.
