ABOUT ME

I appreciate laughter, playing a fun game (especially German card games), talking over a meal, taking a stroll around the forest. I enjoy relaxing with friends and seeing where conversation might lead us. I engage in outdoor activities, especially hiking, photography and camping. I'm a Zumba junkie and I love to dance & sing. I travel and like to explore new places. I love to cook and eat! I think it's important to listen to and share personal stories.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have had fabulous experiences both hosting and surfing- I love Couchsurfing! We have met amazing, beautiful people through this online community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was perfect. My former partner, my dog and I were moving to Oregon from New Mexico and needed a place to stay while we house hunted. Our host let us stay for 4 nights. She cooked for us, drove us all around to look at houses, was great to our pup, etc. She went above and beyond any expectation we could had!

兴趣

I love libraries (the smell, the silence, the energy of all that knowledge), organic fairtrade coffee, spending time with kids, my dog, most kinds of music, and I find gardening a great way to meditate, photography (I was published in National Geographic Adventure Magazine!), scrapbooking, making soap, reading, crocheting, hiking and camping, and Zumba.

There are too many beloved books, music, and movies to list but I suppose I'll list the lastest media I've devoured: Books- The Help, Three Cups of Tea, Child of Her People, Twilight (gotta keep up with the kids). Music- Loreena McKennitt, Iron & Wine, Ella Fitzgerald, Brazilian music... Movies- I love documentaries, independent and foreign films.

I've traveled throughout Europe and across the US. I've traveled to Canada and Mexico as well. So I've seen many many amazing things.

I could teach a few things- how to prune rose bushes, how to teach, organizational skills, how to live a little, how to cook stuffed artichokes, how to play with children, how to make soap, some digital photography, how to crochet, how to use a Neti pot, I love to share music...
