About Me

CURRENT MISSION
"The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware." - Henry Miller

ABOUT ME
"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage." --- Anais Nin

I'm Ohio-bred. Lived in Austin, TX from 2000-2014. Moved to Colorado in 2014 and am currently living an elevated life at 9600 feet in the Rocky Mountains.

PHILOSOPHY
I move through life with presence in and awareness of all that is around me. I choose "experiences" over "stuff" and seek out interpersonal connections with those known and unknown to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over the years, I've had friends who have couchsurfed and hosted couchsurfers, heard their positive experiences, and met their couchsurfers. I've been an active traveler using Airbnb, because I prefer to travel with the benefit of making personal connections and diving into a local community. My husband Justin (an avid CS host) introduced me to my first personal couchsurfing experience and it was overwhelmingly positive. We host CSers when we can - he's more active on CS, so search Justin Hildebrand for our mutual reviews!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music - anything from Johnny Cash to Calexico to Disclosure and most things in between.

My all-time favorite book is Shantaram. So beautiful - I wanted to finish it while at the same time, never wanted it to end. A must for any traveler or explorer of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling solo (both stateside and internationally) is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation.
Experiences.
Local knowledge.
A sense of adventure.
Warm, cozy space in the home I share with my husband Justin, his two fantastic kids (part-time), and Silver Lab Hans.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Mexico
