ABOUT ME

I've recently graduated from university and have no specific plans beyond wwoofing for two weeks and then traveling for three weeks this summer. I've studied abroad in Paris for a year and speak some French, but mainly I've spent my life in California, a few years in Berkeley and the rest in a suburb of Los Angeles.

I wouldn't describe myself as enthusiastic or super talkative, but I like meeting strangers and enjoy drinking. Some people tell me I'm intimidating, but I like to think I'm perfectly friendly! If you've ever seen me with a puppy or a kitten, I'm sure you'd think I was the hugest softie you'd ever met.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed with two friends in Brussels, using one friend's account that she shares with her boyfriend, and I thought it was super cool and better than living in a hostel. I've also couchsurfed in London for a night, and in Lyon as well, and both were great experiences.

Interests

I spend most of my time watching depressing movies, looking up books to read, ogling pretty black and white photography, and planning things to do. I also consider making food a hobby, as well as making and drinking cocktails, but I don't think that necessarily makes me an alcoholic, just a super-fan of Mad Men.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like dramatic movies and books that can be disturbing, but I've got a soft spot for black comedies. I wouldn't say I'm a snob, but I have a thing for Pulitzer-winning novels and film festival movies with good reviews. I hate bromance, stoner comedies, and horror flicks, and I'm pretty prejudiced against rom-coms and animated movies. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of rap, though I do enjoy some French house and American indie.
