About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Discovering through eating, dancing, and a lot of laughing.
ABOUT ME
I took my first trip abroad to Kenya in January 2010, liked it so much I moved there 3 years later.
I was born in California, but have lived in Seattle, WA most of my life. I love the Pacific Northwest and am enthusiastic about sharing all the wonderful things it has to offer with others.
Currently, I work at the University of Washington in a HIV/AIDS research & training program. Still trying to find a good niche in global health. I'm not really sure where I'll end up in the next few years, but I kind of like that.
PHILOSOPHY
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, *If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.* - Kurt Vonnegut
In a gentle way, you can shake the world - Mahatma Gandhi
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I always encourage others to connect via CS while traveling. I just moved to a great neighborhood in Nairobi, and can start hosting here.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some new friends on CS while traveling, and hosted a few times in Seattle.
Interests
I'm an enthusiast, but things I particularly enjoy include (but not limited to):
COOKING with my mom (and new friends), KICKBOXING with a stranger, drinking WHISKY, LAUGHING at inappropriate things, PHOTOGRAPHING an emotionally filled moment, Loud MUSIC, BEING on top of mountains, getting LOST, doing YOGA with 200 people, sipping my morning COFFEE in silence, being on a BOAT, and making lists.
