About Me

22 year old Male from Birmingham, UK
Originally from Perth, Western Australia

I enjoy the true experience you can only get by meeting up with locals. I'm the type to never say no, whilst also remaining respectful.

If you have a conversation with me, I will most likely go on about one of the following things:

- Video Making
- Skating
- Photography (especially Film Photography)
- Ice Hockey
- How I'm trying to learn languages

I also skate and make amateur videos of my travels - check them out here: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBreakfastListTV

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on here to meet new people that will help truly make my travels memorable and different.

I remember the first time I went to Korea, I was lucky enough to stay with a friend after spending a few days in Hostel. My entire experience was awakened from the moment I was introduced to all the things you don't see as just a foreigner. I want to experience true culture, and true experiences. This is why I travel.

I greatly appreciate any hosts that offer their homes to any Couchsurfers.

Interests

Previously I have done a 10 week road trip, crossing over nearly 20 different countries. We made a few videos whilst we did this trip, and worked on our skating a bit.

After that I worked solidly for a year, with aims of a big travel plan accross Asia. 5 months into my trip through Asia I landed in Seoul, and from that moment I knew where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. After spending some time there, as well as Japan, I flew home to get my working holiday visa to allow me to spend a year in Korea. I have since been studying Korean to try and make myself more employable, I'd love to practice some of that with you! I am now in the process of getting my life started in Korea!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music taste is fairly broad, but the main chunk consists of Soul/Mo-town.

Big Studio Ghibli fan. Princess Mononoke being my favourite film of all time.

My book taste consists of mostly Haruki Murakami novels and sci-fi/fantasy novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Myself and a friend once drove from Lake Bled, Slovenia to Calais, France (nearly 1,400km) in one day. We set off at 2pm and got into Calais at roughly 8am the next day. Bearing in mind I'm used to driving on the other side of the road, being from the UK, this was a serious achievement for us both.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can guarantee that there will be no guests quite like myself.
It's all about communion and giving back.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Laos, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malaysia, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Scotland, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Viet Nam, Wales
