Hey! My name’s Gus, and I’m from the UK.

I finished my university degree last year, and am now taking some time out before doing a masters. I'm using that time to travel, meet new people, see new places, experience different lifestyles and learn about different cultures - and trying to push myself out of my comfort zone.

I am currently hitchhiking from Kyrgyzstan back to UK...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet local people while travelling, to see a different side of the country to the tourist attractions, and learn about the local culture and lifestyles. I like meeting different kinds of people and exchanging ideas.

Interests

I like to travel as sustainably as possible, so I try to travel over land and not take flights. I am always interested in learning about different approaches to sustainability. I love nature and being outside, and spend a lot of my time running, cycling and hiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I cycled 1100 miles around Iceland with a friend, wildcamping for 30 nights.
