About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to see as much of the world as I can in the lifetime that I have, meeting as many new people along the way as possible. There is so much to observe, learn and do 'out there' that I would never want to be restricted by just my country.

ABOUT ME

I am currently 58 and I live in a small unit with my West Highland Terier called Jasper. I like to walk Jasper every day at least once, I study 3 days a week in the city and volunteer in a local library. I like to be useful but I need to not do that too much because I need to allow time for me too. I like to read, go camping and hiking, cook for others and garden. Although I am reasonably computer savvy, I no longer have wifi available for CS because of a bad experience, but there are coffee shops nearby where wifi is available.

PHILOSOPHY

I know what is important to me and therefore where i would like to go from here. I like to share and encourage others to do the same; i like to give of myself at times and to learn new things; i like to observe and sit back at times and enjoy spectating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to share information with others. I like to take people to see aspects of Adelaide that they might not otherwise see. I like to show how clever and worthy South Australia is to be taken as a global partner.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a french couple spend 4 nights with me and I really enjoyed them because they brought so much of who they were and where they had been into my life. It was very enriching

Music, Movies, and Books

i read voraciously and all the time. I like thrillers, detective stories, historical fiction - especially if there is some truth in it. I love romantic live songs and just about anything with a tune. I am a singer of sorts and used to teach music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have ever seen were the ice caves at the top of Mt Titlis in Swutzerland, They were awesome. Visiting the underground caves at Gythion in Greece (near Kalamata) wastremendous too. And I loved walking through and around the stones at Stonehenge before it became so commercial. And then there was visiting Skara Brae!! Fabulous!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am eager to learn anything and can teach or rather share anythng I know that others may need. I can cook, train dogs and discipline children in a fair and honest manner. I am intelligent and well read and am willing to share what I may know or learn from the experiences or observations of others.
