About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Like everyone else, to live with a smile. I can see the sun in wintertime

ABOUT ME

Hey, 1.
If we get a little pissed,That means drunk/intoxicated/wrecked blitzed etc.) then you can ask me about the secret mission, and
2.
I'm a regular down to earth fella, who likes a laugh and a beer. I'm proud of my country, and enjoy showing people around. My friends used to say I was a little bit crazy, in a good way-these days i'm pretty chilled. I have a decent job, although it means night work, and I get away for short trips, or city break when I can afford it.I enjoy meeting new people, and learning other cultures. I hope to travel, to places far away, but in the meantime, I'm happy to share my apartment with anyone who needs a couch.
My "hobby" is running with the bulls, and i head off to Spain when I can for this-- amazing adrenalin fun.

3.If we drink Buckfast then you must prepare to miss a day.

PHILOSOPHY

Why not ?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting people so that they can help them enjoy my beautiful country. I drive, and Scotlands fine scenery is pretty close. Glasgow is a short train ride(10 mins) away, and the choice in the city is obvious.
There's a couple of distilleries nearby, Glengoyne distillery is cool, i can drive and leave you be while i scramble up Dumgoyne hill in behind it. The Bonnie banks of Loch lomond are pretty close too, which are indeed Bonnie.
Tennents Brewery in Glasgow is a decent wee trip too, which means I don't have to drive and we can enjoy the beer.

I'm proud of my country and (work dependent) happy to take you to some amazing scenery off the beaten track, climb a local hill/mountain, chill and share a story.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing and Surprising would be the best words. I have a wall in my home covered in fingerprints and nice messages from people who have crashed. Some for a night- others have stayed for a week !-- Everyone has a story to share.

Interests

I love the outdoors, and a perfect day for me would be an early rise, a hillwalk, a decent meal, and then head out to celebrate a good day with some drinks and wherever that takes us I play a bit of football, and the usual boring gym/running stuff. Occasional music gig, trips to quaint bars, plus the odd crazy party

  • beer
  • coffee
  • running
  • partying
  • drinking
  • traveling
  • music
  • outdoor activities
  • soccer
  • track and field
  • mountains

Music, Movies, and Books

Music doesn't matter - i love everything.

The Little Prince is the best love story i have ever read.

The Deer Hunter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had a gun pulled on me in a restaurant in Belgrade, been hit by a bull in Spain(several times), bungee jumped in Glasgow, jumped down a builders rubble chute, climbed several Scottish mountains. -- loads more life stories-i'd love to just throw everything in the air and move to Spain.
I

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you the Scottish Highlands, take you a walk up a mountain. We have the most amazing scenery so near. I don't know what I have to learn-- because I have yet to be taught-I recently had some Aussie girls teach me how to drink a Juicee !( I'll share that with you )

Sadly, I have to work, which often means no partying, and no hillwalking, but it may suit to just chill with a coffee, and a couch to sleep on.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sometimes you just need to take rest .
