About Me

To give a brief description about myself, I just wanna use one word: 'versatile'.
It does not imply that I know everything. But it simply means that I've always tried to do as many things at the same time as possible. Kind of 'multi-tasking'. I love being challenged and inspired by that way.
This may be the reason why I love meeting many people, exchanging stories with them and experiencing moments together, especially when travelling abroad.
I'm a Vietnamese so I used to be a typical Asian girl living in a high-context culture, who would prefer to step back and hide in her own 'comfort zone'. After going study abroad, I knew for sure that this decision has transformed me.
I am now reaching out for the new things and the new people more than I could imagine.
I no longer feel hesitant to speak up and start the conservation with those whom I may care so that I can learn more from life, the 'real life'.
I do appreciate the time being in Germany and US (one exchange semester) not just because I'm studying there as a graduate student. But it is also about 'real experiences' that I would treasure for the rest of my life, which enabled me to touch the soil and 'taste' the culture of different lands and cities.
I love these moments so so much and am gonna miss all of them when I'm back home...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just got to know this page for a couple of months. It really inspired and wowed me, to be honest.
This is not only a place where foreign students like me can stay over when the budget is constrained, but it is also an amazing 'playground' for everyone to join and exchange cultural stories with each other.
I am so proud of being a Vietnamese who has been to Europe and U.S. And I'm pretty sure that everyone would be proud of being the way they are as well.
Hence, it is more than great to live our own way and respect others'. For me, true and valued relationships can just start from such simple things. :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my recent Birthday (June 10, 2016), I went hiking alone to the Wartburg Castle (Eisenach, Thueringen state) and it was badly amazing and incredible. I felt as if I had conquered the world after reaching the top of castle :-)
I love doing different things on my special days.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I respect cultural differences and I do expect the same way from people :-)
I love sharing stories. My English is 'fluent' enough to convey my ideas and thoughts to people so hope that I would 'successfully' exchange with Hosts a lot of cultural stories that I have known or experienced myself :-)

Last but not least, as a qualitative researcher, I do love observing and studying about people as well. Such cultural and human being-related topics always inspire me :-)
