About Me

I am a fresh graduate and currently doing my volunteer service (assisting people with special needs) in Germany. Helping people, doing community work have always been a big part of my life as I love to share my privilege and engage myself to make this world a little better.

I'm generally an optimistic person with a constant hunger for new ideas and knowledge. So CF is such a good way for me to get to know the local people, the cultures as well as make the most of my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get authentic cultural experience, be inspired, get to know new people so as to have more trust for human's good nature.

Interests

I'm highly interested in how and why humans act in some certain ways and how that drives the world to its place today. That's why I'm so into sociology, philosophy and psychology.

Also, I find reading about philosophy or psychology to be really therapeutic for me since it makes me aware of the fact that humans are indeed very... humans, complicated and predictable at the same time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a diverse taste of music, from classics to urban hip-hop music. However, most of the works I know are pretty mainstream (no shame though), which means I always have an open ear for different artists, genres of music.

Books, I do read. My areas of interests are sociology (genders), politics, and psychology. I self-learn sociology a lot and hopefully I can pursue a higher degree in this field.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling and volunteering AT THE SAME TIME. It's always nice to take part in the local daily life as well to gain some insights into the culture while enjoying the sceneries, venturing around the place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my insights about my country, the places I've been to. And if one is interested in the subjects I've listed above, I'm always up for an open, respecful talks. Different ideas, perspectives are to be shared and (sometimes) exchanged.

What I Can Share with Hosts

1. My culture, my open, optimistic attitude and behaviors resulted from my up-bringing as a Vietnamese.
2. Meaningful discussions. Let's discuss about interesting things we can observe in our surroundings.
3. An ear. I'm a good listener.
