About Me

Sorry I can't host from 1st June till middle of July.

ABOUT ME

After 4 years in Japan, I just moved back to Ho Chi Minh city and start working. I work in a company to support me financially (for this moment) and work in NGO at the same time. I am a Founder of STEP Forward Exchange –a NGO which aims to promote cultural exchange and community development through volunteering. You can check out our activities here: http://www.stepforwardex.com/

I really enjoyed helping people understand more about our culture, our local lifestyle as well as bring the happiness to the Vietnamese children by organizing many activities for international volunteers and local people. I love to explore and experience new places, meet new people because each story inspires me, motivates me to live my life in the fullest way.

I started host the first time since I was 15 years old in my hometown whereas at that time I still had a broken English:D. However, this can be considered as my first steps to the world :D

PHILOSOPHY

My father passed away when I was 13 and that event really shaped my thinking toward life. Nothing is permanent. You will never know what will happen:D
Therefore, this is my motto :
"I get up in the morning and go to bed at night. In between, I try to occupy myself as best as I can"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friend introduced me about CS

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a member of Hospitalityclub.org.... a club which is similar purpose like CS.
I hosted a Russian couple and a German girl in my hometown when I was in secondary school . It was my first time meeting and having foreigner friends. I started to be curious about the world, about other cultures and from that time, I made my mission that is to travel around the world :D ....

And yes, I prefer using Couchsurfing more whenever travelling to other cities. I do believe that it’s the people we meet that make travel the rich, vibrant experience that it is. They shape our memories more than the locations themselves.

And since I recieved a lot of helps when travelling, hence, I also wanna give it back to someone who needed...Just like the idea "pass it forward". So,if you couldnt find any couch at the last minutes , feel free to contact me:)... I will try my best

Interests

I think every person has their own stories - unique and inspired and therefore I love to listen to them.

Also, I always prefer direct interaction rather than online tool...Well in Asian societies recently, you might easily see the image of a group of people sitting together, but they all look at their phone instead (that's sad)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I lived in India around 3 months teaching the kids about my cultures, and so on. It was in a small village in the north of India ,named Chandigarh. During my time there, whenever walking in the school, all the kids just run to me and ask for my signature. I feel as I am a superstar even though keep signing 100 times is really tired though...Haha

- Doing a solo trip in Indonesia , then driving and climbing the mountain the whole night as well.

- Spending almost a whole time in Budapest just to play Escape Room

Teach, Learn, Share

I love listening to people's stories and the same , I can share with u about my journeys as well.
I have a blog in local language sharing about experiences abroad. I hope that these stories can inspire more young people back home to step out of their comfort zone and go explore the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some Vietnamese food, share with you different stories or become a listener:D
