About Me

Hello! My name is Anh, I was born in Vietnam and I grew up on the east coast. I moved to southern California last year for college. I would like to say I have a zest for adventure, I'm super friendly and energetic and I'm pretty easy to talk to!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couch surfed with a couple friends this past summer for the first time. Our host was kind, courteous, extremely helpful and showed us parts of the city we wouldn't have known about otherwise. In addition, I got to hang out with his cute 4 year old son. Overall, it was a great experience that taught me a lot and made me want to continue couchsurfing. I think this is a great way to meet new people and connect with others and their experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love edm, jazz, pop punk, alternative music, rap, pretty much everything! right now, my favorite artists are Erykah Badu, Kaytranada, Mura Masa, Nujabes, Hiatus Kaiyote, J Cole and Kishi Bashi (this is by no means an inclusive list). i'm currently reading Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee and The Tao of Wu by R.Z.A. If you want to talk about Fanon or The Doors to Perception or issues within the Pacific Basin or Adorno or Harry Potter or Daredevil/Jessica Jones or pretty much anything, I'm down.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is really a lot of pressure to put on someone who doesn't think they've done a lot of amazing things.

One time I didn't sleep for like 60 hours.

When I was 10 I climbed a mountain in Vietnam. This sounds really impressive but I'm sure it wasn't that big of a mountain.

This past summer I went on a road trip with my friends and traveled up the west coast, from Orange County, California to Vancouver, BC.
