Hi everyone,

I am Ani, living in Germany, but traveling most of the time. Or I should say usually working from different places since I only need a laptop and a fast internet. While I am in a different country, I try to interact with locals since I truly believe that this is perfect to get to know a new culture.
Though I am a big fan of European culture and history, I also try to discover some different places recently, like Mauritius.
Besides, my other passion is nature. I do not mean some green areas in the city center or some forests nearby. I LOVE mountains. I think I cannot live in a place where there is no mountain that I can reach in 1h. I mostly hike or go for 3-4 days biking when the weather is nice and I try to do cross-country when there is snow enough.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, Couchsurfing enables me to travel, meet new people and work at the same time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate categorizing and I will not do it here either. Also, I do not want to forget any of my favorites. Nevertheless, I can tell these:

Music: So far my favorite has been Indie, but recently I started to listen to everything that my ear likes :)
Movies: I mostly watch fantasy, science fiction, and historical movies. But, I can watch anything that has a good content.
Books: I love German and Russian literature or let's say generally European. I try to read "realistic" books that reflect the social and political life of the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh my! I can tell scuba diving in Mauritius. For many, it can be sth small, but for me, it was huge! I need to do it again since my first time was not the best :)
Also, hiking for 6-7 hours in Iceland every single day for one week! Proud of myself :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything from another culture. I was born in Istanbul and grew up in an ethnically diverse family. So, I am sure I have lots of things to share with hosts.
