About Me

Hi! I’m Ani, a 27-year-old landscape architecture student from Georgia, currently studying and living in Geneva with my husband, Giorgi. We’ve been together for ten years and married for two, and now we’re both here pursuing our studies in Switzerland!

I’m passionate about design, nature, and how people interact with their surroundings. I also love exploring photography, capturing the little moments that make each day special. When I’m not studying or working on projects, I enjoy listening to music, trying new foods, and watching movies (always up to swap Letterboxd profiles for recommendations!).

I love exploring new places and meeting people from all walks of life, and I'm constantly inspired by the stories, perspectives, and experiences shared by others. I also have a passion for photography, capturing the little moments that make each day unique. My camera has become my travel companion, helping me document everything from spontaneous city strolls to gatherings with friends.

As a Couchsurfing guest, I’m friendly, respectful, and always up to cook a traditional Georgian meal (if you’re open to trying something new!).

As a host, I’m open to sharing stories, spending time together, and showing you around if I can. But I also know that sometimes people just need a place to recharge, especially in a city as expensive as Geneva!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to connect with like-minded travelers who love discovering new perspectives and exploring places through a local’s eyes. Whether I'm traveling or hosting, I think Couchsurfing offers a unique chance to step beyond typical tourism and into real, shared experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m into all kinds of music, especially indie rock, alternative, pop punk, and post-punk. Live concerts are my happy place! For movies, I love everything from comedies to intense dramas and psychological horrors—always up to swap recommendations! I enjoy a good book, and I love experimenting with my vintage cameras, capturing moments as they come.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned French online in just two years—enough to start studying 100% in French here in Geneva and pass all my courses! It was a challenge, but now I’m loving the chance to study and live in a new language.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to learn how to cook local dishes wherever I travel—it’s one of my favorite ways to connect with new places. In exchange, I’d be happy to teach you how to make some delicious Georgian food!
