About Me
PLEASE READ SECTION ON TRANSPORTATION - YOU WILL NEED TO RENT A CAR OR TAKE TAXIS FOR ACCESS TO MANHATTAN.
I am a professor, teaching physics at a college in NY. I take advantage of an academic schedule to indulge my passion of traveling. Each year for 3+ months in the summer, a month in the winter and more often than not about a week over spring break, I wander in odd corners of the globe.
Perhaps my blog is a better introduction to my travel bug:
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Seeing new places, studying ancient sites, exploring natural wonders are great but more than anything, it is the contact with locals that I treasure the most. I am lucky enough to be invited home often and have kept in touch for years, with those I met.
Couch surfing is yet another way to meet locals as well as other travelers, especially in countries where accommodation is thin on the ground.
