I have encountered people (few bad apples) who use CS as an alternative to an hotel and keep hopping from one host to another to save money, If you do not want to spend time with host and get to know each other and do culture exchange and share stories, do not bother sending a couch request, go and book a cheap Hostel I can refer you a few good cheap ones and yes you can afford it bcz you afforded a Travel Ticket so far.
