About Me

Hey! My name is Ania, however many poeple call me Pixel. From the moment I realised there's so much to explore in this world, I'm excited to do so 🌎

I grew up in a small city in Silesia, with two brothers which already ensured me with some level od toughness from the very beggining 😜. I was always drawn far away, eager to set eyes on all the places, climb all the trees and jump around with an indelible smile.

I am poeple-person. When I get to know someone new I like to understand how they perceive life. I'm interested in one's story and background. What brought you to the point you're in right now, what are your aims and ideas for the next step? How do you see yourself in 5, 10 years? 😇

I like challenges, I believe that every time we're put in uncomfortable situation, that's an opportunity to grow, and learn about ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CS during one of my trips in Morocco, when I was hitchhiking to Sahara desert with my friend. That time we were looking for an alternative way of accommodation. I was very positively surprised, how many poeple I've never met, were willing to welcome us in their homes.
With time I realized that CS is much more than just an "alternative way". 😇
Life is about sharing. This community gives great opportunity to share whatever you're ready for at the moment - whether it's your time, your space or your Heart.

Interests

I'm interested in people's well being, both mental and physical. I'm doing intuitive massages, working with body awareness. I am practicing mindfulness, cold showers and barefoot walking. I like hiking, swimming, going to sauna, visiting art galleries and exploring the city by bike in the nighttime.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I highly enjoy singing and playing guitar or drum by the fire. I myself don't play much, but luckily there are lots of people creating amazing sounds with the instruments.

I'm open to every genres, I'm keen on attending to jazz, rock, hip-hop, or reggae concerts. I like to dance and jump with ska and reggaeton beats or relax with handpan and didgeridoo sounds.

I like songs which provides not only pleasant auditory sensations, but also when you can dive into lyrics and identify with it, slow down and think over a certain issue, or feel the emotions of a singing person.
That's why I'm deeply in love with productions of some polish rappers and poets, like Maria Peszek, Bisz or Aldaron.

Melorecitation gives me chills.

I have little experience with cinema. Lately I was quite impressed with a movie "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", where Heath Ledger (famous Joker) played his last role.
I used to be into House M.D. and his jokes 😁

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Profoundly watching the clouds passing by, as they transform and trail away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can recommend you some places in Kraków to spend time outdoors, since I don't know much of a club life. I can take you to a great, international place with yoga, dance classes, like Zouk and other movement workshops.
We can do some pleasant morning exercises together, organize a little trip to polish mountains (one hour driving), go for a climbing-bouldering, have an easy walk in the old town, or explore cozy cafeterias in Kazimierz, an old Jewish District in Kraków.
