ABOUT ME
I just qualified as a teacher. I live near Birmingham and love the city life although where I am now is quite rural. I'm musical and love live music. I do love where I live but it's great to explore both this country and others :)
About me more generically is probably a bit of a big kid, I like to think because I spend so much time with kids! I think it's good to keep things light-hearted though :)
PHILOSOPHY
If I want something I should go for it. So long as no one else is affected in any unfortunate way. Feelings are felt for a reason. Thoughts... I have many, often trivial ones but the deep and meaningful surface on occasion too! Why do I live my life? I once said the point of life is to live and die. Both are equally important but I have no intention of experiencing the latter until I have had as much fun and happiness in this life and indeed brought happiness to the lives of others however I can (without compromising my own!)
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed a couple of times and I've loved meeting new people, sharing knowledge of the world we know and having new experiences with new friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Agadir, Morocco. I loved meeting real Moroccans... well ones I knew I could trust! And getting more of a true feel of the country and its amazing people. I wish I could have stayed longer but it was just a short trip during studies. I hope I will return one day though.
CS'd in Edinburgh too around festival time which was lovely and our hosts were fabulous :)
Intereses
Swimming. Singing. Dancing. Cheesecake. Drinking (for taste and tipsyness). Friends. Kung Fu. Basketball. Running. Waterpolo. I change how I keep fit fairly regularly depending where I am and who I can do things with; I've never done all these sports all at once but I always have something I do. Playing guitar. Planning to learn more languages (I need to immerse myself in the country for this plan to be realised!). Historical buildings...I could stare for hours at the detail sometimes... particularly gothic architecture. Cooking. Reading.

Música, películas y libros
Movies: Spiderman! XMEN! Almost any Marvel film really. Any horror but NOT the Saw films. Comedies...The Hangover, Anchorman, Meet the parents. Ray. Some girly films, particularly My best friend's wedding (a big reason is the soundtrack). Any Jim Carrey film. Any Julia Roberts film. Forrest Gump. Closer (play is just as good if not better). Any Hugh Grant film. Any Jack Nicholson film...
Music... not trance. But I love Rock, Indie, Classical, Pop, Motown, Garage, D'n'b, Folk, maybe even country. I love any acoustic. Artists wise... KT Tunstall, Alicia Keys, Semisonic, Seal, SOAD, Katie Melua, Feist, John Mayer, Alanis Morrisette, Einaudi, Natalie Imbruglia... there are so many bands that I love. Books - loved Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I used to love really girly romantic books but lately I prefer funny satirical things, reading a Ben Elton book atm. I loved the Harry Potters, but who doesn't?
Algo increíble que he hecho
I was struck by lightning once... I am very fortunate to be fine.
This next one will seem arbitrary to most but I joined a waterpolo team and that left me awestruck. .. I was afraid of being in a pool quite intensely then decided it was irrational and I had to face it... so I joined my uni waterpolo team and conquered my fear. I like to face my fears :) hopefully I'll have more examples of scary things I've done in future!
