PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy + nearly everything is in your hands

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish to write here that CS saved me horrible moments of sleeping under a bridge surrounded by rats or jumping under a blanket of a hobo, never was that dramatic though.

Usually I find here a good company while traveling alone and host whenever I have a big enough apartment.

We might go to a cool pub, we might cook and eat together or just go out for dinner, we might hang out in random places or a music show...
Or we'll just sit on the couch, enjoying each other's company drinking a beer, depends: some days I feel like a party animal and some days a feel like a beached whale.

In short: we'll go with the flow. Maybe we'll become friends, maybe just passing episodes in each other's lives - I'm fine with both.
I might not necessarily show you all the customs or tourist attractions or traditional food, but I will show you my life as a local, and it doesn't get any more real than that, right?

Interests

I love music and have a dark sense of humor.

I'm into all DIY stuff- drawing, sketching, woodworking, paper modeling, robotics - tried it all, basically everything I can build with my hands gives me a lot of joy. If you can do any of this, you have my respect.:)

Other thing on my obsessions list is different writing systems- for now can read Russian, Hebrew, Greek and a bit Japanese. My recent visit to Armenia made me pick up some weird letters, we will see how far will that go..

Anyway, if these things sound boring to you, doesn't matter, I'm up for a beer anyway!

Music, Movies, and Books

Here is what I like the most: pam param pam pam param
More here: rock, metal, prog rock, Krautrock, jazz, blues, ethno, country, funk, param pam pam..

I'm a big fan of Ursula Le Guin, I think she is just fucking awesome (and has a great haircut).
I read mostly sci fi and fantasy books, but also different mythologies, medieval poems, teary & cheap novels, in general it's pretty diverse - ranges from how to raise turtles to how to start kingdoms, if you know what I mean. I'm a bookworm and I like to imagine I'm a poor student, wearing ripped socks + sweater eaten by moths, reading something by candlelight...

What more.. Oscar ceremonies from early 90s (I am very moved when listening to the speeches), yeah I know it sounds cool

Teach, Learn, Share

How to send smoke signals, run away from a wild swine, type in Morse code and other useful things, life is so so tough.
