About Me

Despite being (an easy) vegetarian, fighting against environmental pollution and loving yoga I didn't manage to become a proper hippie with colourful dresses and flowers in my hair. Instead I usually wear old clothes from my friends because of my shopping-phobia. Luckily, it doesn't matter what I wear because of my breathtaking charisma and my noble, modest manners. Languages, travelling and food are my passion. However, I ended up doing a PhD in chemistry, who knows why... I like travelling on my own because it is easier to meet locals, and this is the most exciting part of it all! I'm open to almost everything and enjoy good conversations over dinner as much as trekking/swimming in nature or going out dancing until the morning. I usually prefer pointless museums like a butter museum or a pencil museum over historic museums, but can be persuaded to go to see some art once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because travelling without meeting locals is like Pizza without the dough: Still nice somehow but not quite the same. (And afterwards you're hands are all greasy and full of tomatoes)

A good connection to my host/guest is important to me, I can spend ages looking through profiles. So if I pick you it means that I think we'll get along really well!

Interests

*Travelling* --meet new people; learn some nuggets of the language; get to know local kinds of music, food, lifestyle and drinking games *Friends* -- sports, bars, clubs, cooking, eating, talking bullshit, cinema, helicopterpaintball *Music* -- playing piano, dancing or just listening *Sports* -- Basketball, yoga, Dancing, table football, Volleyball, Swimming, Cycling (though not good in any of it)

Music, Movies, and Books

If I already write everything in my profile we won't have anything left to talk about! ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Salkantay Trail to Macchu Pichu as the first time trekking in my life.

Diving in the Red Sea of Egypt.

Finding this one lost sock I was missing for almost one year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you: a couple of cool [drinking] games and, along with it, the noble art of losing.

I would like to learn: how to build a teleporting machine and all the languages in the world.

I can share: my opinion about stupid people who only write nonsense in their CS profiles, the content of my fridge, music!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer cooking German or English food (who the hell wants that?!) as well as some Italian dishes (thank god!). Also happy to offer my impressive eating skills if you insist to do the cooking. I'll try to bring little surprises for my hosts but I can't guarantee it, depends on the baggage situation. And they have to be surprises, so you have never read this.
