Overview
About Me
I am from Hungary, I am a university student i with a major in chinese language and cultures. Right now I am studying in Xiamen, China for a year.
I am very interested in the different cultures of the world, especially Far Eastern cultures, mostly chinese and indian. I also like jamaican and african cultures, and the traditional culture of my home country, Hungary.
I like learning languages, even though I sometimes feel like those few I'm already learning are enough, but I just can't help feeling excited about other languages as well... I think languages say a lot about a culture and it's always a pleasure to discover these things in the process of learning.
I also like traveling, visiting new places and meeting new people.
I am an extroverted introvert. I enjoy being around people and getting to know them, but after some time I need to be alone as well.
I love animals and I call myself an environmentalist (well, I try my best), and I am a vegan. I also try to live as healthy as I can, I practice yoga and meditation. I am a morning person and I don't drink alcohol. Sometimes I go out with my friends at night, but I never drink. You can't call me a party animal, that's for sure, haha. But I enjoy good music and I also like to dance on some occasions! :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's an incredible way to see the world. Visiting a place is much more exciting if you can discover it with someone who knows that place very well and can show you all the interesting places bestides the tourist attractions.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost all kinds of music, my favorite genres are reggae, indie, world, chill out, kirtan and the list goes on. I used to be a big fan of punk music as well, but nowadays I don't listen to it that much.
Some of my favorite artists: Trevor Hall, Mumford and Sons, John Butler Trio, Gogol Bordello, Angels and Airwaves, MC Yogi, Coldplay, Mellow Mood, Dub FX, Jah9, Desert Dwellers, Death Cab For Cuite, Irma, Jason Mraz, Jason Castro, Taylor Swift, Matisyahu, Tycho, Playing For Change, the Marleys
I don't watch movies that often, if I do, I usually watch documentaries.
I enjoy reading way more than watching movies! Nowadays I am mostly reading books about meditation, mindfulness and spirituality (Eckhart Tolle and Thich Nhat Hanh are my two favorites).
My all-time favorite book has to be The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.
I also like George Orwell, Jack Kerouac, J.K. Rowling, Kurt Vonnegut, J.D. Salinger, Oscar Wilde and soo much more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Food Not Bombs - It's an international movement which demonstrates against food waste and poverty with saving food and serving vegetarian and vegan meals for the people in need.
I am so happy to be a part of this movement in Budapest, Hungary.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you yoga (if you are okay with learning from someone without a certificate), teach you some hungarian or anything else that I can.
I would enjoy cooking some vegan food with other people!
I would like to learn about other cultures and people, and I am interested in basically every language of the world...
What I Can Share with Hosts
My knowledge of yoga and meditation, hungarian language and some vegan recipes.
