Overview
About Me
I am a 22 year old university student living in İzmir. I'm willing to be a pharmacist after I graduate. I really like to meet foreign people and listen to their stories which I gain a lot of good experiences from.
Music occupies the huge part of my life. I am really into making music with couple of intruments. I am a guitar-based drummer for like 7 years and composing things both on the drums and the guitar, trying to do my best. I also love discovering new bands and getting into their histories. So it doesn't matter what kind of music you are into. If you like music, you'll like me and I'll like you. I think it is above all the languages in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like traveling through the countries and meeting new people. So I decided to be on couchsurfing to have friends all over the world and to be hosted in their places as I travel. I also like to host people in my place to help them know the area I live and have a home in their trips.
Another reason is based on my motto : "Not a tourist, traveler." When you get invited to random people's houses, you really get into their own culture and family lives. So that is what I wanna see when I'm travelling rather than staying in fancy hotels and just seeing the touristic places. I hope one day all people will understand the difference between being a tourist and a traveler.
Interests
Like I mentioned before, besides the university, I am really into making music with a couple of bands. I have been playing the guitar for like 6 or 7 years but I usually play the drums in the bands that I play for lately. Biggest aim has always been having gigs all around the town, seeing people's faces when you are on stage playing their favorite songs. Having admiring looks to your face and to your band while the music you play comforts you and all the people around you with huge amps and stuff is I guess the best feeling in the world.
I translate subtitles for some tv series voluntarily on the internet which I suppose had really good improvement on my English.
I really like reading travelling guides and getting some new information about the countries I want to visit. This activity keeps my ambition of travelling really high. Seeing the photos just make me feel like : "Omg, look at that, I wanna see that for real! Where's my credit card?!" :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been a metalhead since I was 12 years old when I met Metallica. So I think I am the biggest fan of Metallica in the world at the moment :P I also love some other metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Iron Maiden and Mastodon. But I usually play the popular Turkish songs with the band in order to arrange some gigs.
Also the old school rock music (Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd etc.) is one of my favorites. You feel like reading the history of the bands as you lose yourself in their songs...
I am a huge Harry Potter fan so if you also like/love/admire Harry Potter series, we have a lot of things to talk about!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my traveling experiences and stories with the hosts. I also like to listen to some new stories of theirs. I could tell them my own tour stories with the bands and the people which I met while on it.
I can make them take a look at the world from my view if that will make them gain something and learn new things. Because I love seeing life from some other people's eyes which gives me lots of living power and ambitions for discovering new adventures!
