About Me

I am female, 29 years old. Back home I used to live with my mom, my stepdad and my younger stepbrother. My stepdad has also another daughter, she is married therefore she did not live with us but we are very close and now she is about to give me a little niece with I am already in love my biological dad lives in Japan for more than 10 years and we do have a relationship but I am much closer to my stepdad and brothers now, we are a family for more than 15 years. Now I live in Portugal, on the south coast with two Portuguese women I met during my journey. They are great to me and it has been a great experience to live with a local, experience their life and lifestyle.

My first trip abroad was to Australia. I did a high school exchange and lived in a farm with a lovely host family for a year and it was great. Apart from learn a lot of things from a different lifestyle I´ve got the chance to improve my English skills. After finishing my graduation in Brazil, 4 years later I went to NY to visit a Brazilian friend that was living there for a while. It was my first time in the USA and a great learning of how Brazilians lives abroad and also I had a unique chance to know one of the biggest cities in the world. After that I got the taste of wanderlust and start to travel once a year. I went to Disneyland, in Florida, Miami, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Argentina and Uruguay.

In 2017 I decided to start an adventure trough Europe. I choose the "old continent" because of the travel facilities and the opportunities to learn more languages as well. I began in Portugal because that place means a lot to me, my grandmother and others relatives were born there. In addition, the fact that I am a Portuguese citizen was very helpful since this way I wouldn’t need a specific visa to be allowed to work around European Union. That was my first time as a volunteer and I really liked it. I did 3 months of Worldpackers and afterward I moved to south of Portugal (Algarve) to work during summer season in a small hotel at Albufeira beach.

Extras:
 I travel by myself, have no children, partner or family. They are all back in Brazil.
 I am a smoker
 I am afraid of dogs
 I don´t eat fish or any kind of sea food
 I do not drive

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few years ago I found out about shared economy, volunteers, caught surfing and all that culture and felt in love for that! On my opinion we would have a better world if you share our things, do not mind so much about money or status. And when I decided to go away from home with no return ticket I proprose myself to join all these kinds of program. I want to use it to share experiences, to learn with local and most important: to make friends! It really make me happy to open my whats app contact or facebook page and see that I´ve got people all over the world that likes me, tha want my friendship. And the best part: you have all experience to have an extend birthday??? That is how I feel on my birthdays when I have my timeline with different time zones send me messages... it is really the best thing ever – feel like, you have a 48 hours celebration =)

If I send you same request, please consider me! I know that I have not references in CS that is only because I am starting my experiences with CS. I did never receive guest at my places because I had no opportunities. But since I longed in CS I am open to receive guest on the cities I am living. Last person I met was an Italian traveller that was in Lisbon (back the time I lived there). I am very use to share homes, respect other people places and etc. I had lived a year on Australia with a host family for a year, I have also lived in a hostel as a worldpacker in Lisbon, now I shared an apartment with to old Portuguese ladies and after this trip with my friend I planning to move to south Spain to do workaway. After said that, I would like you to consider my request. Even thought I do not have CS history I am very use to that shared programs!
