ABOUT ME

Hello everyone!! This is Anirban. I am a research engineer by profession. Wait please!!! That doesn't mean that I am a boring character ;) I am quite a fun-loving, free-minded guy open to new people & cultures. I travel often for both fun-n-job and its quite an exciting experience everytime.

I live in Paris. They say its be one of the most beautiful & romantic cities of the world. Well, the beautiful part is true and the romantic part is quite a cliché ;)

Apart from travelling and meeting new people, I like to do lots of sport & reading books. I'm an avid animal-lover. I left eating meat because of that. I dream to own a horse and some dogs someday. It's my dream to live the life of a cowboy...

I would like to meet different people and visit many places through CS and try to offer them the same when they come to Paris.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started sharing my couch much before I joined CS.
But 'officialy' I joined CS end of 2008 and its one of the best things that could happen to me. I met so many wonder people through CS. Some have become very close.

CS is not at all something to save some money while travelling. Its about sharing cultures, experiences building bonds. Wherever I go, I try to meet & live with the local people to understand and learn the place better than a travel guide can offer. I strongly feel its a good way to connect to the people on this planet.

Interests

I am into various kinds of sports like football, swimming, badminton etc. I am a fitness enthusiast and visit the gym and martial arts classes regularly.
Apart from sports, I like to watch movies and listen to music. In my spare time,I like to hangout with my friends.
As said earlier, I like to meet new people and explore a new place and its culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Being a technology person, I love watching sci-fi movies. The Independence day, Star wars, Stargate are amongst my favorites. I also enjoyed some serious movies like Babel, Dead poets society etc. Mostly it depends on my mood.

I like to listen to all kinds of music but jazz is my favorite.
As for books, I generally don't read novels. Just short stories and academic books are fine for me.
