To explore the world before I die and soak in as many different cultures as I can in the hopes of becoming a "Global Citizen"

ABOUT ME

I think of myself as an easy going person who gets along with everyone I meet. I might appear to be quiet at first glance but once I break that initial barrier I can't stop talking. I'm not a funny guy but I have several lame jokes up my sleeves and I love wordplay. In English only, of course.

I was born in India. Most of my relatives and extended family are from there. But my parents moved to Singapore when I was 4 months old and I became a citizen at 5. So basically I'm Singaporean at heart but will always remember my roots. I do go back to India from time to time. Distance does not prevent my family from still being close.

I have tons of things about myself which I can't think about right now but I will add something when I can. And if we meet, we'll get to know about each other anyway :)

PHILOSOPHY

I live for me. I know this sounds selfish but at the end of the day all you have is you and your life, your actions, all that lead to your living a satisfied life. I do not want to die with any regrets. I don't know if there's an afterlife or not. But if there is I don't want to keep wishing that I would have lived my life better

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm relatively new on couchsurfing. I realised how wonderful it was after my friend introduced it to me. I've only had 3 experiences with couchsurfing. 2 in Germany and 1 in Sweden. They were all nice people and made me want to couchsurf more so please give me the opportunity to do so and meet more interesting people! I will also try my best to host if I myself am not traveling around or if my house is available!

兴趣

Im a cinephile. I love talking about movies, actors and themes of movies. They simply intrigue me. I don't know why but I can go on and on and on.

I am also interested in buildings (seeing as how I am in studying construction) and pre-modern architecture astounds me. How they built the pyramids, the Taj Mahal, the Duomo, etc. all without the technology that we have today inspires me to build an amazing structure that will be revered for centuries to come.

I am an avid gamer when I have lots of free time and not traveling. I am a sucker for graphics and a good story.

My first love is rock (mostly from the 80s/90s). That's what's in my phone playlist. But in my leisure I listen to musicals, classical pieces, heavy metal, jazz, blues. Anything, really. Not overly fond of EDM though I can still bear with it.

I love the Dark Knight trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter Series and Game of Thrones. My all time favourite movie is The Prestige. I absolutely love Christopher Nolan films and there is something about Quentin Tarantino films that speak to me too. I like the Game of Thrones series, Friends, Breaking Bad and Mad men as well.

I have also read The Song of Ice and Fire novels, the entire Harry Potter series and Dan Brown's Robert Langdon series. I am also a little into literary classics like The Great Gatsby, The Lord of the Flies, Lord of the Rings, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc.

Alright, if I'll have to choose, it would be the Swiss Alps. They are absolutely breathtaking whether it's down in the towns or high up in the mountains. I am a city boy and live where its hot all year round. So the snow, wind and greenery blew me away. I think I might just have found the perfect retirement spot for me :)
